Software Magazine ranks EISI as one of the world's largest software companies
With the likely software gurus topping the 2004 Software 500 ranking again ( IBM and Microsoft Corporation, respectively), EISI is thrilled to have advanced its place by more than 50 spots from last year.
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers targeting enterprise IT organizations. The ranking is based on total worldwide software and service revenue for 2003.
According to John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com: "The 2004 Software 500 results reflect a software and services market that showed mixed results overall, but strong positive growth in segments that meet the needs of the industry in system-integration services, infrastructure management, and security."
EISI, which is ranked #364, is industry renown for its successful systems integrations with NaviPlan (EISI's proprietary financial planning software). The company provides large-scale financial institutions with a flexible, scalable platform for delivering advice that includes integration with back-end systems, third-party asset allocation software, and data sources. This year, EISI enhanced its off-the-shelf NaviPlan products to offer similar flexibility to its market of independent financial planners: NaviPlan version 9.0 provides data import capabilities, and the option to include imbedded asset allocation options from Ibbotson Associates.
Writes Desmond: "More companies identified financial applications as their primary business sector this year than any other category."
