NaviPlan Extended earns top marks in CPA Technology Advisor’s annual review of estate planning systems
With an overall rating of five out of a possible five stars for ease-of-use, basic functionality, calculations, presentation tools, training and support, and relative value; NaviPlan Extended shines in the CPA Technology Advisor’s annual review of estate planning systems.
“NaviPlan Extended is an exceptionally comprehensive, yet easy-to-use financial and estate planning system designed to service high and very high net worth clients with complex financial bases. The program offers a full set of goal planning features, modeling tools and asset allocation functions that further juice up the program’s capabilities and make it ideal for firms with considerable “A” clients,” writes the author.
Top marks are given to NaviPlan Extended in the ease-of-use / basic functionality category because of the program’s intuitive user interface (notably the Web browser look & feel, text-based links, vertical navigation, and other buttons and tabs in the work area of the screen), drill-down data entry, and exceptional methods for organizing clients, and creating plans based on the level of required detail.
NaviPlan Extended also earns top marks for its robust calculations, and a nearly perfect score for its client presentation tools. “NaviPlan offers an outstanding selection of customizable pre-built reports that allow viewing of multiple plans simultaneously and can include presentation options such as ‘straight numbers,’ text-based output and graphical elements such as charts and graphs that can help effectively communicate a client plan,” the author writes.
EISI’s training, and support resources are also considered in the review. A perfect score is given to EISI’s all-inclusive support Web site, and the assistive features that are built right into NaviPlan, including Help, the Planning Assistant, How Am I Doing? and What Are My Options? tools.
