New taxation legislation: Military Family Tax Relief Act of 2003
On Veterans Day (November 11, 2003) President
Bush passed new taxation legislation.
The Military Family Tax Relief Act of 2003 (the Act) grants specific tax relief to members of the military and their families
EISI has determined that the Act neither impacts the functionality nor financial planning capabilities of NaviPlan, thus a new version of NaviPlan will not be released at this time.
EISI continuously tracks taxation legislation, assesses the impact of new legislation on NaviPlan, and evaluates the timing of the new tax laws against the NaviPlan release schedule. If new legislation is passed during the development stage of a scheduled release, EISI will update NaviPlan accordingly. In cases where the new legislation is passed in between versions, and the impact is large enough, EISI will release a new version of the software (as with the NaviPlan EGTRRA and NaviPlan JGTRRA releases).
