NaviPlan Adds Ibbotson Asset Allocation Option: Integrated Financial Planning Tools Provide Comprehensive Software Solution
Winnipeg, MB - April 14, 2004: Emerging Information Systems Inc. (EISI), developer of NaviPlan financial planning software, and Ibbotson Associates, a leading authority in asset allocation, today announced a new asset allocation option for NaviPlan USA browser-based applications. In version 9.0, scheduled for release in April 2004, the following Ibbotson components will be available in browser-based NaviPlan Standard and NaviPlan Extended:
- Risk tolerance questionnaire and scoring model - determine client's risk tolerance and recommend an appropriate asset mix;
- Model portfolios - obtain an asset mix for each of five risk levels;
- Security classifier - evaluate a current or proposed portfolio of investments by classifying individual securities and then rolling up into an overall asset mix;
- Mean-variance optimizer - find an optimal asset mix, and then compare with a client's current mix by looking at risk and return, or forecasts.
