NaviPlan Bulletin: Windows Vista issue

Summary
The purpose of this bulletin is to advise NaviPlan customers about an issue with Microsoft's Windows Vista, to be released on January 30, 2007. The current version of NaviPlan software will not function in a Windows Vista operating system. This issue applies to U.S. and Canadian versions of all NaviPlan Standard and NaviPlan Extended formats, including Windows-based, Offline, and NaviPlan Central configurations.

Severity
Major – This issue will affect the user’s ability to perform operations in the software.

Impact Assessment
If NaviPlan is installed or accessed on a computer with Windows Vista, various aspects of the software will not correctly function. This may include problems with installations, client reports, and online help.

Recommendation
Install the NaviPlan patch before migrating to the Windows Vista operation system. Do not use the current version of NaviPlan software, either locally or in an online environment, on a computer with Windows Vista. Patches to correct this issue are currently in development, and will be available in the coming weeks.
